living a consecrated life

What an AMAZING Sabbath day!
I have to confess, I struggled with whether I was going to go to church today since I was exhausted and not feeling well, however, I chose to go knowing it was important, and of course it turned out being a VERY SPIRITUAL amazing day for me, I LEARNED SO MUCH!  This always happens to me, on Sundays when I am not feeling well or I am debating on whether I should go to church, I decide to go and it ends up being an amazing day.
Today was our ward conference, the theme was from D. Todd Christofferson's general conference talk, "Reflections on a Consecrated Life." This is an amazing talk.  One I have read several times.  It stood out to me when given in general conference and is something I have thought about a lot.  What can I do to live a more consecrated life?  A flood of thoughts came to me today on ways I can live a more consecrated life.
The different talks in church today touched on making sure our hearts are in the right place when we are performing service, dedicating our lives for righteous purposes, listening to the Holy Ghost and acting upon it, and realizing that we have to work on bettering ourselves daily.
I have always had a desire to help others and to be sensitive enough to the spirit to know what I can do to help them.  Even though I have had this desire I have not always done my part so that I can work as an instrument in my Heavenly Fathers hands.  I feel now is the time, I will pray to know, and start doing random acts of kindness for others and hopefully sooner than later I will be in harmony with my Heavenly Father and know who needs what.

We had a meeting with the Stake Young Women's presidency after church and learned how it is important for us to better ourselves spiritually.  In order to help others, our family, young women, etc. we must strengthen ourselves first.  We spoke of essential things, necessary things and nice things to spend our time with.  Essential consisted of scripture study, personal prayer and meditation, family home evening, and temple attendance.  Necessary things are things such as cleaning the home.  Nice things consist of hobbies and fun thing we like to do.  It is amazing how we can find time for nice things, leaving no time for essential things.  OR we confuse necessary things with essential things.
It is now time for me to prioritize my time and take my calendar and fill it first with the ESSENTIAL things first and than schedule time for necessary and nice.
They also gave us this handout that has quotes for each essential thing.

TIME TO GET MY LIFE IN ORDER.
